A well-established fuel company based in Umbilo Durban is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their team.

The ideal candidate must have a strong background in bookkeeping within the logistics or manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full bookkeeping function up to trial balance.
• Process and reconcile creditors, debtors, and cashbooks.
• Manage VAT calculations, submissions, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit monthly management accounts.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Assist with annual financial audits.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience in the logistics or manufacturing industry.
• Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in Pastel, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software.
• Strong Excel skills (Intermediate to Advanced).
• Knowledge of VAT, payroll processing, and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
