Job description

If you are an experienced Bookkeeper who can manage the financial records up to Trial balance, this opportunity will interest you. As the Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for accurately recording all financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements and preparing comprehensive financial reports. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial data is precise, compliant with regulations, and ready for strategic use by management.

Requirements :

  • A post-matric qualification, preferably in Bookkeeping or relevant
  • At least 5 years of experience in Bookkeeping or Accounting
  • Proficient in Accounting Software - PASTEL / SAP or / and other cloud accounting tools
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties :

  • Financial Records : Maintain and update financial records and transactions
  • Accounts Management : Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and collections
  • Reconciliation : Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly
  • Payroll : Process payroll accurately and ensure timely tax payments
  • Reporting : Prepare and file tax returns, financial reports, and manage budgets and forecasts
  • Compliance : Conduct regular audits of financial processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Support : Respond to financial inquiries and provide support to management
  • VAT Returns : Handle the processing of VAT returns and e-filing
