SENIOR BOARDING CO-ORDINATOR

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, dedicated, and compassionate individual to the role of Senior Boarding Co-ordinator. An important and hugely rewarding role, it offers an exceptional opportunity to take the lead – with drive and ambition – in shaping and delivering a happy, nurturing, and pupil-centred boarding environment.

As the Boarding Co-ordinator, you will have responsibility for maintaining an excellent standard of boarding alongside overseeing a varied, stimulating extracurricular programme for boarders, particularly at weekends.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic vision and leadership for boarding, including leading and managing Housemothers.
  • Monitor, review, and report on boarding standards and practices, taking a lead in inspection readiness and compliance.
  • Develop and deliver policies and procedures to support the safe, efficient and caring operation of the boarding houses.
  • Ensure the routines and systems that support all of the above (e.g. termly fire drills) exist and are recorded.

The successful candidate should:

  • Have leadership and team management experience.
  • A genuine interest in working with children.
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Evidence of clearance with the Child Protection Act and Sexual Offences Register
  • The ability to bring new perspectives, energy and ideas to the boarding environment.
  • A warm and nurturing presence, capable of creating a ‘home-from-home’ for girls from diverse backgrounds.
  • A flexible, positive, can-do attitude, bringing the ability to manage a dynamic environment which meets the requirements of the collegiate.
  • Positive leadership style with a collaborative approach.
  • Highly organised and an excellent communicator.
  • A full commitment to the well-being of children.
  • A proactive mindset and problem-solving ability.
