Job summary

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or related engineering field.
- Minimum 5 years of automotive body structure design and analysis experience.
- Proficient with FEA and CAD software for design and validation.
- Strong knowledge of structural mechanics and crashworthiness principles.
- Experience with vehicle crash simulation and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with stamping, welding and assembly processes.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop BIW and body structures to meet stiffness and crash targets.
- Run extensive FEA simulations under static, dynamic and crash loads.
- Optimize designs for weight reduction while preserving strength.
- Collaborate with styling, manufacturing and systems teams for feasibility.
- Develop and validate structural testing plans and crash tests.
- Analyze results and document methods, data, and conclusions.
- Stay updated on new materials and manufacturing advances.
- Provide technical guidance to manufacturing during implementation.
