Job summary

Mintek invites applications for a Senior Engineer based in the Bioprocessing Group, Biometallurgy Division. The role focuses on bioleaching of precious and base metals, and treatment of mine effluents and solid wastes.

You will provide engineering input, perform research, and lead projects within the division. Key responsibilities include proposing and executing research, managing project timelines and resources, and ensuring SHEQ compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in Biometallurgy or related processing of minerals required.
• Exposure to bioprocesses, especially bioleaching.
• Strong research and project leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Formulate technical project ideas and develop research questions.
• Lead project work as principal investigator within the division.
• Establish specifications and improve workflows for project level.
• Prepare proposals and oversee experimental work with quality control.
