AECOM is currently recruiting for the role of Senior BIM Information Coordinator (Buildings). This position is responsible for executing buildings projects for Enterprise Capabilities. It offers a hybrid work schedule, including both office and remote work, based in one of four office locations in South Africa.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • BIM Implementation: Execute the BIM implementation strategy on complex international projects.
  • CDE Admin: Provide CDE administration to project teams, manage permissions, and complete model setup in ACC / BIM360 and/or ProjectWise.
  • Multi-Discipline Coordination: Lead and execute project coordination workflows, create federated models, conduct clash detection, lead BIM coordination meetings, and support project teams with issue management using ACC / BIM360, Navisworks, or Revizto.
  • Information Management: Coordinate smart object metadata and classification codes with asset information databases.
  • Technical Support: Provide advanced guidance on 3D modeling and data management, oversee project teams using Autodesk Suite (Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD) or Bentley Suite (OpenBuildings, MicroStation).
  • Scan-to-BIM: Integrate Point Clouds into the federated model dataset and implement Scan-to-BIM workflows.
  • 4D Simulation: Produce 4D construction simulations with Navisworks, Synchro, or similar tools.
  • Content Creation: Support the production of smart object content libraries and templates, and maintain content management repositories like Content Catalogue / UNIFI.
  • Collaboration: Promote collaboration across regional BIM/Information Management teams, drive standards, and best practices for BIM across regions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Portfolio of building projects demonstrating experience as BIM Coordinator, modeller, or documenter.
  • Experience with multidiscipline clash detection, issue management, and advanced use of Navisworks, Revizto, or ACC Model Coordination.
  • Experience with ISO19650 framework and project documentation.
  • Advanced knowledge in resolving model issues in Revit and/or OpenBuildings.
  • Workflow optimization experience with Dynamo is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of technical design and construction delivery for building disciplines.
  • Experience with Common Data Environments like Autodesk Construction Cloud and Bentley ProjectWise.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written), with strong interpersonal skills, team spirit, and mentorship abilities.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Design Technology, Construction Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 8 years of industry experience in BIM and Digital Delivery, with previous formal multidiscipline BIM Manager/Coordinator roles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • International experience with global project teams.
  • Experience on projects in Australia, USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Middle East, or Asia is favorable.
