AECOM iscurrently recruiting for the role of Senior BIM Coordinator Civils this position is responsible for managing the implementation of BIM and Information Management on civils projects for Enterprise Capabilities.This position will offer a hybrid work schedule to include both office and remote work opportunities based from one of 4 office locations in South Africa.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• BIM Implementation execute the BIM Implementation strategy on complex international projects
• CDE Admin provide CDE administration to project teams manage permissions complete modelsetup in ACC / BIM360 and / or ProjectWise
• MultiDiscipline Coordination lead and execute project coordination workflows create federated model condition models data as necessary lead and execute clash detection on models lead BIM coordination meetings and support project teams with project issues management using either ACC / BIM360 Navisworks or Revizto
• Information Management coordinate smart object metadata and classification codes with asset information databases
• Technical Support provide advanced guidance on 3D modelling and data management and oversee project teams using either the Bentley suite; OpenBridge OpenRoads OpenBuildings MicroStation or the Autodesk suite; Civil 3D InfraWorks Revit.
• ScantoBIM integrate Point Clouds in the projects federated model dataset and implement the ScantoBIM workflow
• 4D Simulation create simulations and animations of transport and civil infrastructure projects using InfraWorks Navisworks or Bentley Descartes and Lumen RT. Implement phasing in BIM models and produce 4D construction simulations with Navisworks and Synchro or similar
• Content Creation support the production and creation of smart object content libraries & templates (parametric Revit families Revit templates Civil 3D component catalogues) and support the maintenance of AECOMs content management repositories (Avail / UNIFI)
• Collaboration be an ambassador for collaboration with other BIM / Information Management team members from different Enterprise Capabilities offices (Spain Poland India South Africa Romania etc). Drive consistency in standards and best practice approaches for BIM across regions

Qualifications : Minimum Requirements

• Demonstrate a portfolio of civil and infrastructure projects working as BIM Coordinator / modeller / documenter

Preferably civils infrastructure projects (bridges tunnels roads rail and civils buildings).

• Experience executing multidiscipline coordination clash detection and issue management and an advance user of any of the following : Autodesk Navisworks Revizto and ACC Model Coordination.
• Experience working with the ISO19650 framework and implementing required documentation in a project environment.
• Advanced knowledge and experience resolving model issues and conflicts in Civil 3D and Revit
• Experience optimising workflows with Dynamo will be considered favourable
• Technical design and construction delivery knowledge for Transport and Civil Infrastructure disciplines.
• Experience working with Common Data Environments Autodesk Construction Cloud and Bentley ProjectWise.
• Communication Fluent in English (oral and written) a team player and mentor and exceptional interpersonal skills

Professional Qualifications :

• Degree in Civil Engineering Design Technology or Construction Technology or a related discipline project or demonstrated equivalent combination of education training and related experience.
• 8 years of industry experience in the BIM and Digital Delivery field. Must have previous formal multidiscipline BIM Manager / Coordinator role experience.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Visual programming preferred working knowledge of Dynamo Bentley Generative Components and / or Grasshopper
• International experience working with global project teams. Experience working on projects in any of the following : Australia USA Canada UK and Ireland Middle East and / or Asia will be considered favourable.
