Placements24 seeks a Senior Business Intelligence Developer in Polokwane to design, develop, and maintain BI solutions. You will transform raw data into actionable insights, build dashboards, and mentor junior developers in a hybrid work setup.

We expect 5+ years of BI experience, strong SQL skills, and proficiency with Tableau, Power BI, and Qlik Sense. Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL, and cloud platforms will be highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence development or related data analytics role.
• Proven expertise in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with leading BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense) and ETL tools (SSIS, Informatica).
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, principles, and best practices.
• Experience with data modeling techniques and database design.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable BI solutions, including reports, dashboards, and data models.
• Develop and optimize ETL processes to load data into data warehouses.
• Create dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for business improvement.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across BI platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and provide solutions.
• Develop and maintain BI documentation including data dictionaries.
• Mentor junior BI developers and provide technical guidance.
• Stay current with trends and technologies in BI and data analytics.
