Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Centurion, Gauteng office. This full-time role focuses on transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and performance optimization.

You will design and maintain dashboards with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense), perform in-depth data analysis, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of BI, data analysis, or a similar role.
• Proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense, or similar platforms.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Proficiency in data visualization techniques and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders.
• Experience with statistical analysis or predictive modeling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense).
• Conduct complex data analysis to identify key business trends, patterns, and insights.
• Collect, clean, and transform data from various sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across different departments to understand their reporting and analytical requirements.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for BI solutions.
• Develop and implement data models to support reporting and analytical needs.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular performance reports.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and data quality enhancements.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
