Role Overview

The Business Intelligence function provides analytical support, information, and analysis.

Our approach is 'do once and automate' wherever possible, reducing analytical overhead and ensuring reporting consistency.

This role is part of the Business Intelligence team, serving as the main contact for ad hoc requests and collaborating with other functions for insightful analysis. It often involves working in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects requiring diverse skills.

Key Focus Areas

• Drive BI strategy and implementation, managing daily tasks and long-term data development from the Customer Data Warehouse and source systems, including advanced/predictive analytics.
• Develop and lead a BI analytical centre of excellence.
• Gather and utilize insights through research to inform business decisions.
• Support departments with insight needs, building and executing appropriate plans.
• Develop and present insights internally and externally, ensuring they inform decision-making.
• Champion customer voice initiatives and ensure insights are integrated into planning processes.

Responsibilities

• Unify data from multiple sources into a single source of truth using platforms like Qlik or others.
• Manage BI insights and analytics, overseeing data from the Data Warehouse and source systems.
• Develop a strategic vision for BI excellence.
• Utilize technical skills including SQL, MySQL, Excel (including VBA), and data visualization tools (QlikView, Power BI, Tableau, Domo).
• Interpret complex data sets, providing descriptive and diagnostic analysis.
• Build effective relationships with stakeholders and support data-driven decision-making.

Minimum Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Business Intelligence, Data Management, IT, or equivalent experience.
• QLIK certification and expertise.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with data visualization and manipulation.
• Proven experience in building BI reports and triangulating data from various sources.
• Technical proficiency in SQL, MySQL, Excel, and visualization tools.
• Experience with statistical software (SAS, SPSS, R).
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
