Placements24 is seeking a Senior Beauty Therapist who will also assume Salon Manager responsibilities at a premium Johannesburg salon. This dual role demands advanced technical skills across a wide range of beauty treatments and proven leadership capabilities.

You will lead the therapist team, manage daily salon operations, schedule staff, handle bookings, stock control and finances, while ensuring exceptional client service and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified Beauty Therapist with CIDESCO/SAAHSP/ITEC/CIBTAC certification.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Beauty Therapist, with 2+ in supervision/management.
• Strong client service, skincare expertise, and leadership abilities.

Responsabilités

• Perform advanced beauty treatments: facials, waxing, tinting, nails, massage.
• Consult with clients to assess needs and recommend treatments.
• Manage salon operations: scheduling, inventory, stock control, orders.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of therapists.
• Maintain hygiene, safety and client safety standards.
• Handle bookings, inquiries, and complaints professionally.
• Assist with salon finances, payments, and sales targets.

About the Role

Our client, a high-end, contemporary beauty salon located in the bustling heart of Johannesburg , is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Beauty Therapist who will also take on the responsibilities of Salon Manager. This dual role requires exceptional client service, advanced technical skills in a wide range of beauty treatments, and proven leadership capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering premium treatments, managing salon operations, leading the therapist team, and ensuring an unparalleled client experience. Key Responsibilities

• Perform a comprehensive range of advanced beauty treatments including facials, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, waxing, tinting, manicures, pedicures, and massage therapy.
• Consult with clients to understand their needs, recommend suitable treatments, and provide expert advice on skincare and beauty regimes.
• Manage salon operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, stock control, and ordering supplies.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of beauty therapists, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
• Ensure the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and client safety are maintained throughout the salon.
• Handle client bookings, inquiries, and complaints efficiently and professionally.
• Manage salon finances, including cash handling, processing payments, and working towards sales targets.
• Develop and implement marketing initiatives to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
• Stay updated on the latest beauty industry trends, techniques, and product knowledge.
• Maintain detailed client records and treatment notes.

Requirements

• Recognized qualification in Beauty Therapy (e.g., CIDESCO, SAAHSP, ITEC, CIBTAC).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a qualified Beauty Therapist, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Proven expertise in performing advanced skincare treatments and a wide range of beauty services.
• Excellent client consultation and communication skills.
• Strong leadership, team management, and motivational abilities.
• Proficiency in salon management software and POS systems.
• Passion for the beauty industry and a commitment to continuous professional development.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• A strong understanding of hygiene standards and health & safety regulations in a salon environment.
• Previous experience in Johannesburg or the surrounding areas is advantageous.
