About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Telecoms Developer to join their innovative, remote-first engineering team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining the backend systems that power their advanced telecommunications services and platforms. You will work on complex challenges related to scalability, performance, and data management, contributing to the evolution of their product offerings. Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs for telecommunications applications using (Specify primary language, e.g., Python, Java, Go) .
• Develop and optimize database schemas and queries for large-scale data storage and retrieval.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define feature requirements and technical specifications.
• Implement robust security measures and data protection protocols within the backend infrastructure.
• Write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code, participating in code reviews and mentoring junior developers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development, with a significant focus on scalable systems.
• Expertise in at least one modern backend programming language such as (Specify primary language again) , and associated frameworks.
• Strong understanding of database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to design and implement complex APIs and microservices architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
