Placements24 is seeking a Senior Software Developer to contribute to the advancement of our core telecommunications platforms. This fully remote role allows you to work from anywhere within South Africa, with a focus on designing, developing, and deploying scalable software that powers critical communication services.

As an experienced developer, you will collaborate with a talented team in a remote-first environment, participate in code reviews, and help drive architectural improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on backend systems.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or Go.
• Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and message queuing systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Responsibilities
