You will own performance, reliability, security, and production readiness, partnering with product, data, and DevOps to deliver enterprise-grade software at scale in a regulated health context.

This role requires deep backend experience, cloud-native architectures, and a drive for craftsmanship and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Design, develop, and operate backend services and APIs for high-scale platforms.
• Proven experience with distributed systems concepts and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL data stores and event-driven patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure backend services and APIs.
• Drive performance optimisation through profiling, caching, indexing, and query tuning.
• Embed observability with logging, metrics, tracing, and SLIs/SLOs; ensure production readiness.
• Collaborate with product, data, and DevOps teams to deliver domain-driven architectures.
