About the Role

Our client, a fast-growing SaaS company in Bloemfontein , is looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in Python and Django to join their dedicated product development team. This role is crucial for building and scaling the backend services that power their innovative platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of database design, API development, and microservices architecture. You will be responsible for writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code, contributing to architectural decisions, and mentoring junior engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs using Python and Django.

Requirements

• Familiarity with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) and caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis).
