Placements24 is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their technology team in Paarl. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable server-side logic and RESTful APIs powering core products and services.

You will collaborate with frontend, product managers, and other engineers to build robust systems in a hybrid work setting that combines in-office collaboration with remote work flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional backend software development experience.
• Strong proficiency with at least one modern backend language and frameworks.
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, caching, and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerization is a plus.
