Job summary

Pepla, a Pretoria-based software development firm, seeks a part-time Senior Azure DevOps Platform Engineer for a US fintech client building a next-generation mortgage platform on Azure.

You will automate provisioning, security, and monitoring for containerised environments, implement IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and private networking, with emphasis on reliability, observability, and recovery.

Qualifications

• Experience with IaC and automated environment provisioning.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and Azure tooling.
• Knowledge of private networking, identity management and secret storage.
• Familiarity with observability, monitoring and DR practices.
• Experience deploying MongoDB/Atlas and Kafka stacks.

Role Description:

We’re hiring a part-time (0.5 FTE) Senior Azure DevOps Platform Engineer for a US-based FinTech client building a next-generation mortgage platform for the American market. You’ll automate repeatable, isolated customer environments: provisioning, securing and monitoring infrastructure for a containerised, AI-enabled platform on Microsoft Azure. That means infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, identity and secrets management, private networking, observability, and backup and recovery.

This is a contract-to-hire engagement: a paid 90–120 day trial, converting to a 12-month staff augmentation contract on successful completion.
