Job summary

Microsoft South Africa in Port Elizabeth is seeking a Cloud Solutions Sales Engineer to design and demonstrate Azure-based solutions for large enterprises, bridging technical and business objectives.

You will work with account executives and partners, oversee pre-sales architecture, sizing, migrations, and contribute to strategy, pipeline, and revenue growth in the South Africa market.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in cloud solutions sales or engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Business or related field.
• Experience in enterprise environments and selling Azure-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Engage with C-level IT stakeholders to translate objectives into Azure-based solutions.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations, demos, and PoCs showcasing Azure value.
• Collaborate with sales teams to craft tailored proposals, pricing models, and go-to-market strategies.
• Maintain deep knowledge of Azure services, licensing, security, compliance, and emerging technologies.
• Provide pre-sales technical support, including solution architecture, sizing, and migration planning.
• Partner with Microsoft partners and system integrators to co-sell and co-deliver solutions.
• Track and report on sales pipeline metrics, forecast revenue, and contribute to quarterly business reviews.
• Stay current with industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes affecting cloud adoption in South Africa.
