Job summary

Placements24 seeks a highly qualified Aviation Safety Inspector to join the regulatory compliance team near Richards Bay. You will conduct safety assessments, audits, and inspections of aviation operations, facilities, and personnel to ensure adherence to national and international standards.

You will identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and promote a proactive safety culture across the industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in aviation safety, operations, or maintenance.
• Possession of a recognized aviation safety inspector qualification or certification.
• In-depth knowledge of aviation legislation, regulations, and safety management principles.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with diverse aviation professionals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough safety inspections and audits of aircraft operators, maintenance facilities, and training organizations.
• Investigate aviation accidents, incidents, and safety complaints to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Evaluate compliance with aviation regulations, standards, and approved manuals.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs to industry stakeholders.
• Review and approve safety-related documentation, including safety management systems (SMS) and operational procedures.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, findings, and recommendations for regulatory authorities.
