Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Aviation Project Manager for our client, a dynamic aviation services company, based in Mahikeng, North West. You will lead aviation projects from initiation to closure, managing scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and stakeholder relations in a hybrid work environment.

The role requires a minimum of 7 years in aviation project management, a Bachelor-level degree in a related field, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• PMP certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on aviation projects.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects involving aircraft, infrastructure, or operational systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of aviation projects from initiation to closure.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
• Manage project risks, issues, and changes, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
• Coordinate and manage cross-functional project teams, including engineers, technicians, and operational staff.
• Ensure effective communication and stakeholder management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project progress against established plans and report on key performance indicators.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations and safety standards.
• Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations where applicable.
• Facilitate project reviews and ensure lessons learned are captured for future projects.
