Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Automotive System Integration Engineer to join their dynamic team in East London, Eastern Cape . This crucial role involves overseeing the integration of complex automotive systems, ensuring seamless functionality, performance, and compatibility between various electronic, mechanical, and software components. You will be responsible for defining integration strategies, developing test procedures, troubleshooting issues, and validating the overall vehicle system. This position requires a strong understanding of automotive architectures and a proven ability to manage intricate integration challenges within a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities

• Define and manage the system integration strategy for new automotive vehicle platforms.
• Oversee the integration of diverse subsystems, including powertrain, chassis, electrical, and infotainment systems.
• Develop and execute comprehensive integration test plans and validation procedures.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve system integration issues and conflicts.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and mechanical engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with system requirements, performance targets, and industry standards.
• Document integration processes, test results, and issue resolutions.
• Support manufacturing and production teams by resolving integration-related concerns.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in system integration activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in automotive system integration or a related field.
• Proven experience in integrating complex electronic, software, and mechanical systems in automotive applications.
• Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Familiarity with automotive architectures and ECUs.
• Experience with system testing methodologies and tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
