Key Responsibilities
- Define and document the overall software architecture for automotive electronic control units (ECUs) and complex vehicle systems.
- Select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and patterns to meet system requirements for performance, safety, and security.
- Collaborate with software development teams, system engineers, and product managers to translate requirements into architectural designs.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to software development teams throughout the implementation phase.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance software development and system capabilities.
- Ensure the software architecture adheres to industry standards, best practices, and automotive safety regulations (e.g., AUTOSAR, ISO 26262).
- Lead the resolution of complex architectural challenges and drive technical innovation within the software domain.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 10 years in an architectural role within the automotive industry.
- Deep understanding of embedded systems, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and automotive software architectures (e.g., AUTOSAR).
- Proficiency in software design patterns, architectural principles, and modeling tools.
- Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols and cybersecurity principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
