Job description

iqx, the Technology Division of iqbusiness, is looking for a skilled Senior Automation Tester for one of our clients in Johannesburg.

We seek a motivated Automation Tester with strong experience in test automation and continuous integration/delivery tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, and others.

Requirements:

1. Degree or diploma with at least 4 years of experience in testing (Automated and Manual).
2. Proficiency with version control systems like Gitlab.
3. Ability to support maintenance and enhancement of the CI/CD pipeline.
4. Strong technical knowledge and ability to train development teams in test frameworks and infrastructure.
5. Ability to navigate SQL for setting up test data and validating technical aspects.
6. Knowledge of REST API and WEB GUI testing, with experience in writing automated API tests.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver quality across multiple applications using automation frameworks for front-end and back-end testing.
• Work within Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to develop a robust test automation framework and tooling for continuous delivery.
• Promote automation and continuous delivery practices within the organization.
• Identify issues, work with teams to resolve them, and prevent future bugs through automation.
• Coordinate with Product, Support, and Customer Success teams on high-impact bugs and fixes.
