Hire Resolve's Client is seeking to hire a Senior Audit Professional in Kenilworth. A reputable and established accounting and auditing firm based in Cape Town is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Audit Professional to join its Audit division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in external auditing, demonstrate technical expertise, and possess the leadership ability to manage multiple audit engagements while mentoring junior staff. This position plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality service delivery and regulatory compliance across a varied client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end external audit engagements in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
• Conduct risk assessments and develop tailored audit approaches.
• Review and analyse financial statements in line with IFRS and applicable legislative frameworks.
• Evaluate internal controls and identify areas for improvement and risk mitigation.
• Prepare and present comprehensive audit findings and reports to clients and senior management.
• Maintain and strengthen client relationships through regular communication and professional service.
• Supervise and mentor junior audit staff, providing guidance, feedback, and performance reviews.
• Ensure audit files and documentation meet firm standards and are completed within deadlines.
• Stay informed of technical updates, industry trends, and changes in accounting and audit regulations.
• Contribute to internal initiatives to enhance audit quality and operational efficiency.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Auditing, or Finance.
• Registered Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum of 5 to 8 years’ experience in external audit, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS, ISA, Companies Act, and other relevant legislation.
• Strong proficiency in audit and accounting software (e.g. CaseWare, Microsoft Office Suite).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
