Job summary

The Senior Audit Manager at Bdo South Africa will oversee audits from planning through finalisation, working with the Audit Partner to ensure project profitability and adherence to policy. You will support client business development and maintain strong relationships with clients.

Reporting to the Audit Partner, you will drive budgets, billing, and WIP management, while mentoring trainees and coordinating audit teams for timely delivery and high-quality service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee audits from planning to finalisation.
• Manage budgets/fees and overruns after partner approves.
• Handle WIP, write-offs, fee queries and debtors.
• Ensure timely and accurate billing to clients.
• Accurate and timely planning of audits.
• Management and execution of audits.
• Manage staff movements on and off assignments and communicate to relevant parties.
• Manage and control staff allocations on audit projects.
• Ensure completion and finalisation of audits.
• Build effective relationships with clients and staff.
• Ensure exceptional client service.
• Decide on audit appropriateness of audit opinion and document conclusions.
