BDO South Africa is seeking an Associate Director to oversee audits from inception to sign-off, ensuring efficiency and profitability while managing all relevant stakeholders in line with firm policies. You will support the Engagement Partner with clients' commercial management and business development initiatives.

This role demands strong technical audit ability, leadership of audit teams, mentoring of trainees, and a commitment to exceptional client service within the South Africa market.

Qualifications

RA and CA(SA) qualifications are required.
7-10 years post articles experience in auditing.
Strong technical ability and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication with partners and managers.
Commitment to self-development and mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

Oversee projects from inception to sign-off, ensuring efficiency and profitability.
Manage stakeholders in line with firm policies.
Support client commercial management and business development initiatives.
Negotiate budgets/fees and monitor WIP, write-offs and debtors.
Ensure timely and accurate billing; plan and execute audits.
Mentor trainees and conduct performance reviews.
Build strong client relationships and deliver exceptional service.
