Placements24 is seeking an Athletic Director for a prestigious Randburg educational institution. The role leads all interscholastic sports programs, shaping coaching, facilities, and budget administration to foster excellence and student achievement.

The successful candidate will guide staff development, ensure compliance, and promote academic success and sportsmanship across the student-athlete community in Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Sports Management, Education Administration, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in athletic administration or coaching leadership.
• Proven success in program development, staff management, and budget oversight.
• Thorough knowledge of interscholastic athletic regulations and best practices.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment for student-athletes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for all athletic programs, aligned with the institution’s mission and values.
• Recruit, hire, mentor, and evaluate coaching staff, providing professional development opportunities.
• Oversee management and maintenance of athletic facilities and equipment for safe, optimal conditions.
• Develop and manage the annual athletic department budget with fiscal responsibility.
• Ensure compliance with all athletic association rules, regulations, and institutional policies.
• Promote student-athlete well-being, academic success, and sportsmanship.
