Placements24 in Randburg, Gauteng, is seeking a Senior Sports Coach to lead our football academy’s youth development program. You will design sessions, implement season plans, scout talent, and mentor junior coaches to drive on-field performance and player growth.

The ideal candidate holds UEFA A License or equivalent, extensive youth or semi-professional coaching experience, and a proven track record in player development, leadership, and safeguarding best practices.

Qualifications

UEFA A License or equivalent recognized high-level coaching qualification.
Extensive experience coaching at youth academy or semi-professional/professional level.
Proven track record of player development and team success.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver high-quality training sessions focusing on technical, tactical, physical, and psychological development.
Develop and implement comprehensive season plans and game strategies.
Scout and identify promising young players for the academy.
Mentor and guide assistant coaches, providing feedback and professional development support.
Monitor player performance, providing constructive feedback and individual development plans.
Ensure a safe and positive training environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
Manage team logistics for training, matches, and travel.
Communicate effectively with players, parents, academy management, and support staff.
Stay abreast of the latest trends and innovations in football coaching and sports science.
Represent the academy with professionalism and integrity.
