A leading company in forensic accounting seeks a qualified forensic accountant to join their team in Gqeberha. The role involves conducting fraud investigations, analyzing financial data, and managing small teams while ensuring high professional standards. Ideal candidates will have a CA qualification and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
Job Description
● Assist in fraud investigations, prevention projects, and forensic assignments.
● Analyze financial and other data through electronic means.
● Compile draft forensic reports and appendices.
● Assess and analyze financial data.
● Record findings and manage project administration tasks such as printing, indexing, and filing.
● Handle sensitive and demanding situations professionally.
● Understand customer needs and identify opportunities.
● Support client management proactively, reporting to Senior Managers and above.
● Manage small teams of junior staff and oversee their career development.
● Maintain high professional standards and client confidentiality.
● Perform data acquisition, processing, and analysis of financial and non-financial data.
● Utilize data analytics and demonstrate technological literacy.
● Conduct data and computer forensic investigations.
● Investigate economic crimes such as fraud, corruption, and irregularities.
● Manage documentation of working papers supporting analyses.
● Conduct integrity due diligence reviews using open-source databases.
● Synthesize information and draft reports and appendices.
● Deliver high-quality work within set timeframes and budgets.
● Support team tasks related to project execution.
● Contribute to business proposals and development.
● Supervise staff during fieldwork and ensure adherence to mandates.
● Identify issues and gather relevant evidence.

Minimum Qualifications
● BCom Accounting, LLB, or relevant postgraduate qualification.
● CFE or FP/SA certification.
Experience
● At least 3 years of accounting experience.
● Good understanding of risks and internal controls.
● Experience with document management.
● Background in accounting, legal, or forensic fields.
● Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
● Familiarity with data analysis tools like Power BI, Alteryx, or others is advantageous.
● Understanding of computer hardware and operating systems.
