Brightcitytalent is seeking an Associate Attorney with strong commercial litigation and drafting skills to join our boutique practice in Johannesburg. You will work on a varied portfolio including insolvency, liquidations and shareholder disputes, while maintaining high-quality pleadings and client communications.

The role requires independent work with supervision from senior attorneys and a disciplined approach to deadlines and case management in a busy firm environment.

Qualifikationen

• Admitted Attorney with at least four years post-admission experience.
• Extensive commercial litigation experience.
• High Court right of appearance.
• Proficient with Court Online and CaseLines.
• Excellent drafting, research, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines.

Aufgaben

• Draft pleadings, affidavits, notices, agreements, legal opinions and client correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and assist with case preparation and litigation strategy.
• Manage assigned matters, competing priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Prepare and manage court bundles using Court Online and CaseLines.
• Attend client consultations, liaise with counsel and respond professionally to client queries.
• Work collaboratively with senior attorneys while taking ownership of the quality and accuracy of deliverables.
