Are you a Senior Asset Manager with at least 3+ years of exposure to and experience with; project financed deals and high stakes infrastructure assets?

Our client, a leading provider of renewable energy solutions in Africa, is seeking an individual whose expertise lies in the managing of the financial and commercial side of large-scale assets (ideally in the renewable energy industry).

You would oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of utility-scale projects that range from 35MW to 150MW in size. Your experience in interpreting and maintaining complex project finance models, the auditing of project companies, handling legal compliance matters, and the conceptualisation and implementation of risk mitigation strategies makes you the perfect person for this role.

Education Requirements

• Embedded knowledge of compliance requirements and complex contractual entities

Responsibilities

In the role of Senior Asset Manager, you would oversee the administration of funding vehicles and project companies within the portfolio, managing various functions such as accounting, legal, financial, insurance, and tax. You would also be responsible for enforcing project, corporate, and finance legal agreements, supervising construction drawdowns, ensuring timely debt repayments and equity distributions, and providing regular reports to shareholders and lenders. Additionally, you would assess and mitigate project risks, handle legal and compliance matters across projects, maintain compliance with financial covenants, interpret and maintain project finance models, and coordinate audits. Interpersonally, you would maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders, serve as the lead point of contact, manage communication between different departments and external service providers, and deliver presentations during board meetings and AGMs. Additionally, you would oversee a team of asset managers and drive operational efficiency in projects and business processes.
