Responsibilities
- Establish a fully functional Assessment and Development Centre within the Operating Division.
- Provide input in designing the Transnet Assessment Operating Model and Assessment Model in compliance with relevant regulation and legislation.
- Design and implement customised talent assessment processes, batteries, and practices that meet the talent needs of businesses in line with Transnet's strategy.
- Develop and implement employee selection and development assessment processes for the Transnet Operating Divisions.
- Evaluate available assessment services and offerings to address business-specific needs.
- Identify, mitigate, and manage operational risks and gaps in product offerings; recommend solutions.
- Manage projects to deliver operational efficiencies and meet business strategies.
- Contribute to Assessment Centre Policy formulation, development, and review to ensure alignment with best practices and legislative requirements.
- Oversee operational assessment projects to ensure efficient delivery according to SLAs.
- Source and identify assessment tools for skills, abilities, and interests assessments for various HR processes.
- Participate in assessment tender briefings and technical evaluations.
- Manage contracts and vendors related to assessment services.
- Design, map, and manage the full assessment process, including scoring, interpretation, and reporting.
- Administer standardized assessments for recruitment, promotion, and development at all organizational levels.
- Compile and deliver feedback reports to stakeholders post-assessment.
- Identify development gaps and coordinate training interventions with L&D departments.
- Provide mentoring and coaching; contribute to career development initiatives.
- Facilitate leadership development and team interventions.
- Lead assessment engagements at Talent Management forums to ensure alignment across Divisions.
- Conduct data analytics, research, and benchmarking.
- Manage and update the competency profiling framework.
- Conduct skills audits as required.
- Develop and review competency-based interview guides.
- Participate in continuous improvement meetings and workshops.
- Maintain a confidential document management system compliant with legislative regulations.
- Stay updated on laws, regulations, standards, and emerging trends in assessment.
- Ensure compliance with HPCSA CPD requirements.
- Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote the value of assessments.
- Manage end-to-end assessment projects and strategic partnerships.
- Oversee the Internship programme for industrial psychologists and psychometrists.
- Design and implement training needs analysis and interventions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Registration with HPCSA as an Industrial Psychologist or Psychometrist.
- Accreditation in various assessment tools.
- 3-5 years' relevant experience in assessment and development.
- Experience in SLA and Contract Administration.

Required Batteries: Cognitive Process Profile (CPP), JvR leadership assessment batteries, Psytech batteries, and CPRD/Dover system assessment tools.
