Placements24 is helping a visionary architectural practice recruit a Senior Architect to lead large-scale mixed-use and urban regeneration projects. Based in Polokwane, Limpopo, this role offers remote-friendly arrangements to contribute from anywhere while guiding design from concept through construction documentation.

You will shape master plans, collaborate with urban planners, engineers and stakeholders, mentor design teams, and ensure compliance with planning policies and sustainability

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architecture with specialization in Urban Design or Urban Planning.
• 10+ years of experience in architectural practice focused on mixed-use developments and urban regeneration.
• Proven leadership of complex, large-scale urban projects.
• Strong portfolio showcasing innovative mixed-use and urban regeneration designs.
• Expertise in master planning, spatial design, and integration of diverse building typologies.

Responsabilités

• Lead the architectural design process for mixed-use developments and urban regeneration projects from concept through to construction documentation.
• Develop innovative and integrated design solutions that balance residential, commercial, retail, and public space requirements.
• Collaborate with urban planners, landscape architects, engineers, and community stakeholders to ensure holistic project development.
• Manage design teams, providing leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance.
• Prepare and present design proposals, master plans, and technical documentation to clients and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Architecture with a specialization in Urban Design or Urban Planning.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural practice, with a significant focus on mixed-use developments and urban regeneration projects.
• Proven track record in leading complex, large-scale urban projects.
• Strong portfolio showcasing innovative mixed-use and urban regeneration designs.
• Expertise in master planning, spatial design, and the integration of diverse building typologies.
• Proficiency in architectural design software (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite) and visualization tools.
• Excellent understanding of urban planning principles, zoning regulations, and community engagement processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional registration with SACAP is preferred.
