We've built a team of outstanding design and technical professionals who are always exploring new possibilities in advanced technologies, materials and design forms. We're now looking for new talent to boost our capacity as we embark on a series of new, exciting projects.

The role: We're looking for a talented and experienced senior architect with exceptional design skills and a track record in running projects onsite independently.

You will be involved in major projects in urban settings that reflect dhk's leading reputation as a design-led studio.

Your portfolio must showcase your ability to take a concept sketch and turn it into a fully expressed design.

You also need to demonstrate your experience of leading projects onsite, delivering meticulous documentation processes and executing our designs to exacting standards. We want to see innovative approaches and creative thinking in the development of concepts to completion.

Your experience: We will consider you if:

1. You are a SACAP-registered Professional Architect with an impressive academic background and a minimum of fifteen years post-qualification experience.
2. You can demonstrate a fine eye for design with creative flair and elegant articulation.
3. You have led projects and managed teams, applying your extensive design and technical skills to run projects from initiation to concept development and construction.
4. You have a sound understanding of technical and commercial feasibility.
5. Your experience includes involvement in projects from design stage to construction.
6. This experience must include a track record of working on complex, large-scale projects spanning the mixed-use, residential, commercial, cultural, educational, civic and hospitality sectors.
7. You can balance a strong aesthetic sensitivity and thorough technical knowledge with proven expertise in construction drawing and detailing.
8. You have an intimate understanding of building systems and materials, coupled with a detailed knowledge of practice and industry standards and codes.

Requirements:

Technical requirements: Fully and demonstrably proficient in Revit and BIM CDE. This is non-negotiable. We expect you to have a thorough understanding of all collaboration techniques, modelling techniques and Revit best practices.

All interviewed candidates are required to undergo a Revit assessment and demonstrate proficiency in other Autodesk software to be considered for the role. Working knowledge of Enscape, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and Microsoft software.
