Job summary

Core Group, through iStore Education, delivers Apple technology across Africa for schools and higher education. The Technical Lead will head the technical side of iStore Education, overseeing large Apple deployments and leading a dedicated team to ensure reliable post-deployment support.

Responsibilities include scoping deployments, fleet management, SLAs, and client-facing solution design. The role requires strong leadership, education-sector experience, and deep Jamf/Apple MDM expertise.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in a senior technical or IT leadership role.
• Experience as IT Manager or equivalent responsibility for IT systems, projects and teams.
• Direct experience in the education sector with schools or tertiary institutions.
• Proven track record leading large-scale Apple device deployments.
• Strong experience with Apple device management and Jamf administration.
• Experience managing a help desk or SLA-based support contracts.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead large-scale Apple device rollouts from scoping to go-live.
• Manage Apple device fleets, enrolment, apps, security policies and ongoing MDM.
• Lead and develop the technical, deployment and support team.
• Oversee timelines, budgets, resources and risks across projects.
• Oversee the help desk and resolve escalated issues per SLAs.
• Build relationships with education clients and advise on solutions.
