Situated in Sandton and Alexandra, St David’s is a Marist, Catholic, Independent School for boys of all faiths. We cater for boys from Grade 00 to Grade 12 and offer weekly boarding in the College.

Educator in the following position:

COLLEGE – SENIOR AND JUNIOR MATHEMATICS TEACHERS

The ideal candidate will:

  • have a SACE registration and appropriate teaching qualifications
  • display high levels of professionalism and commitment
  • have a passion for the subject and for teaching
  • be well-versed in curriculum and assessment techniques
  • be au fait with the latest trends in methodology, with sound technology skills
  • be innovative and comfortable integrating technology into the classroom
  • be able to work in a team of well-qualified, motivated, professional staff
  • have effective communication, organisational and administrative skills
  • have a desire to be a lifelong learner
  • be able to integrate 21st-century skills of collaboration and critical thinking into the curriculum.
  • be required to be a tutor within the house system to care for a small group of boys across the grades, involving active engagement with them, having oversight of their well-being and their academic progress
  • have an understanding and appreciation of the nuances of boys’ education
  • support the educational premise of nurturing confident, independent, caring, resolute and inspiring young boys
  • have the ability to contribute meaningfully to the school’s co-curricular programme is essential
  • display an understanding of the catholic and Marist values of the school
  • apply and adhere to our school’s Marist ethos and value system
