Job summary

AES Global is seeking a Senior Analytical Engineer to design, build and optimise analytical data models and systems powering data-driven decisions across the business. The role bridges data engineering and analytics—turning raw data into reliable, well-modelled, performance-optimised datasets for reporting, BI and advanced analytics.

You’ll provide acting team‑lead cover and are expected to grow into a team‑lead role over time.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in a relevant field.
• Automation experience using SQL, Python and Power Automate.
• Advanced SQL (dynamic queries, performance and optimisation) and advanced Python.
• Relational database design, data modelling and data warehousing.
• Microsoft Azure, and advanced Power BI and reporting.
• Git workflows, SDLC methodologies and exposure to CI/CD.
• A bachelor’s or master’s in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and optimise scalable analytical data models and systems.
• Implement data‑transformation logic and automate workflows.
• Ensure data quality and governance standards.
• Translate complex business requirements into structured, reusable data solutions.
• Drive scalability, automation and continuous improvement to best‑practice standards.
