Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing Treasury governance documents and drive risk reporting and process improvements to enhance operational efficiencies.
- Maintain and develop treasury tools related to financial risk management, including hedging and operational risk.
- Manage the implementation and rollout of the Treasury Management System.
- Ensure that Treasury models, systems, and reports comply with policies and procedures. Advise on treasury risk management to keep risks within appetite.
- Contribute to the preparation, review, and production of Treasury reports.
- Serve as a key contact for banks and stakeholders.
- Maintain controls for monitoring and reporting Treasury compliance obligations, ensuring accurate and timely risk metrics reporting.
- Manage SARB reporting processes for the Group.
- Resolve foreign payment queries from banks promptly.
- Oversee foreign bank account reconciliations, guiding team members and providing insights.
- Manage operational petty cash reconciliations, controls, and evaluate different products.
- Develop team members involved in reconciliations.
- Evaluate hedging strategies and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate with banks on hedging products and assess their suitability.
- Oversee company credit card processes and explore alternative solutions.
- Lead ad-hoc projects to support the Treasury team.
- Implement robust controls over treasury and cash processes.
- Improve cash and borrowing management across TFG.
- Develop and adapt treasury functions as per the Group's size and resources.
- Support risk management by analyzing incidents impacting financial risk.
- Manage talent for direct and indirect reports, including recruitment, retention, and development.
- Oversee performance management and staff development.
- Ensure adherence to performance standards, providing feedback and motivation.
- Collaborate with Centres of Excellence and Shared Service Centre for effective cash management and risk controls.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to manage cash flow and financial decisions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in finance, risk, or economics.
- 10 years' experience in AP, specifically Foreign Payments.
- 3 years' experience in Treasury as an analyst or specialist with comprehensive treasury knowledge.
- Knowledge of financial instruments for risk management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Extensive experience with IT2, Reuters, SAP, and banking platforms.
