Senior Accounting & Tax Analyst

• Function: Finance
• Overview: The purpose of this role is to lead the accounting activities for Nigeria, including ensuring adherence to financial policies (internal and external), statutory/tax requirements, leading month-end closing processes, and coordination with the SSC for Treasury, A/P, and General Ledger transactions; as well as providing necessary support to the finance team.
• Responsibilities:
• Lead the monthly close process and year-end activities, ensuring accuracy of P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Coordinate with the SSC on Treasury, A/P, and General Ledger topics.
• Prepare and submit statutory requirements; serve as the key contact for government authorities.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, as well as SOAR testing.
• Assist in the preparation and timely filing of tax returns for PAYE, corporate tax, VAT, and other relevant taxes across subsidiaries in Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa.
• Respond to tax inquiries from authorities, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
• Implement and execute global insurance and tax strategies.
• Provide finance support for administrative functions, including payments processing, payroll, and procurement.
• Lead budget tracking and analysis against the budget.
• Support Nigeria team on accounting and tax issues and serve as a backup for critical activities.

Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting or tax roles.

Qualifications: BCom in Tax or relevant accounting qualification; strong accounting and financial skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, BPC.
