Job description

Opportunity to take on a new role to meet business needs related to onboarding obligations involving digital assets and web3 protocols, including requirements for VASP licence applications. Support the forensic and investigations team with blockchain tracing by operating relevant digital asset tracing software, completing screening checks, and asset tracing exercises.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

1. Conduct digital asset investigations, including blockchain tracing analysis and sanctions screening.
2. Review blockchain data, perform analytics, analysis, and assist in preparing reports.
3. Set up systems for digital asset investigations, including software licensing and outsourcing.
4. Operate relevant tracing software.
5. Assist with onboarding clients, compliance, enhanced due diligence checks, eDiscovery, corporate intelligence, fraud, and misappropriation investigations, or other tasks as appropriate.

Essential Requirements

• Demonstrable knowledge of the Web3 ecosystem with proven experience with crypto and digital assets.
• Certified Cryptocurrency Investigator or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant qualifications such as CFA, CFE, ACEDs, ACAMs, or a bachelor’s degree or higher, and/or web3/digital asset programming experience.
• 3-5 years of relevant PQE.
• Experience using tracing software such as Elliptic or Chainalysis Reactor, preferably with experience in tracing related to fraud or misappropriation.
• Knowledge of Solidity language and smart contracts on ETH, SOL, and other platforms is preferred.
• Strong written, IT systems, and numeric skills.
