A prominent financial institution in Johannesburg is seeking a business analyst to develop and manage analytics and business intelligence tools. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years in a financial analytical role and be proficient in Excel and Power BI. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills are essential for supporting decision-making processes. To ensure that Nedbank realises the business benefits of improved data analytics through the development and management of value-added analytics, business insights, reports and business intelligence tools; in line and to aid in business and digital strategy.
• Develop, maintain and refine monthly dashboards (Excel and Power BI)
• Understanding, interpreting and presenting of financial, client and other data
• Consolidate, analyse, interpret and provide high quality business intelligence and analysis
• Support stakeholders with data, insights, query resolution and ad hoc analysis of data (financial, risk and pipeline metrics)
• Produce targeted reports and presentations that summarise findings and recommendations in order to inform stakeholder decision-making
• Solve stakeholder needs and drive the strategy for the business by providing insight and managing data analysis and interpretation on strategic issues and business-related challenges
• Train stakeholders on how to use business intelligence tools to aid in their decision making
• Deliver key insights that support strategic decision-making by responding timeously and professionally to a variety of adhoc business requests.
• Research and analyse queries by consulting with different stakeholders across Nedbank to deliver timeous and accurate resolutions.
• Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and add value to CIB
• Building trusting relationships with stakeholders, including Exco and Manco level, to gain credibility and maintain reputation through consistent delivery of quality output
• Ensure the timeous completion and delivery of work by setting realistic expectations given the constraints at hand
• Identify training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from management
• Ensure all personal development plan activities are completed within the specified timeframe

Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree

3-5 years' experience in a financial/analytical role within Data analysis (Excel, Power BI, TM1, SQL,Power Apps, Power Automate)
