Job Title: Privacy & Process Mapping Specialist

Objective: To identify all processes, products, assets, and third parties within a business area where personal information is processed, enabling risk assessments and the implementation of appropriate controls to ensure compliance with applicable privacy legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Document processing activities according to process/product hierarchies to create and maintain accurate data flow maps within the Record of Processing Activities (RoPA).
2. Assess existing organizational processes, products, services, apps, and systems for privacy compliance.
3. Re-assess high and medium risk processing activities periodically and after significant changes to evaluate risk levels and control effectiveness.
4. Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for new or changed processes, products, and systems to identify and mitigate business risks before launch.
5. Map processes and link them to primary records using the PRM reference model.
6. Maintain an up-to-date product catalog with standard references for each business area.
7. Ensure all processing activities are recorded accurately in the Personal Data Processing Register (PDPR).
8. Ensure all Privacy Impact Assessments meet quality standards.
9. Maintain current data flow diagrams/maps for each business area processing personal information.
10. Assess and risk-rate all assets associated with processing activities.

Core Competencies and Experience:

1. Ability to map business processes hierarchically.
2. Knowledge of telecoms processes is advantageous.
3. Experience in business analysis, process modeling, and privacy impact assessments.
4. Understanding of privacy laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
5. Strong stakeholder management skills across organizational levels.
6. Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, preferably in technology and telecoms industries.
7. Qualifications: Engineering, Science, IT, Business degree (NQF 7 or equivalent); relevant certifications are a plus.
8. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
