Job summary

FNB Namibia invites a seasoned Algorithmic Trading Software Developer to design and build high-performance, low-latency trading applications across FX, FI, Commodities and Equities. You will deliver scalable, production-ready Java solutions, align with traders and quants, and drive platform evolution while ensuring reliability and security.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Quantitative Finance or related field.
8+ years of software engineering, Java development or electronic trading tech.
Experience delivering full software development lifecycle in production environments.
Strong background in distributed, event-driven, high-performance systems.
Practical experience with Agile, DevOps and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and support enterprise-grade Java applications for trading platforms.
Implement low-latency pricing, market-making and execution workflows.
Collaborate with Traders, Quants and Product Owners to translate strategies into solutions.
Provide production support, incident response and performance optimization.
