Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of all aircraft avionics systems, including navigation, communication, autopilot, and radar systems.

• Conduct routine checks and scheduled maintenance on avionics equipment to prevent failures and ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance, repair, and testing activities performed on avionics systems.
• Calibrate avionics instruments and systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve complex technical problems and implement system upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations, standards, and company policies, particularly concerning avionics maintenance in Durban .
• Assist in the training and development of junior avionics technicians.

Requirements

• A recognized qualification in Avionics Technology or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience as an Avionics Technician, with a strong emphasis on troubleshooting and repair.
• Proven expertise with a wide range of aircraft avionics systems from various manufacturers.
• Proficiency in using specialized avionics test equipment, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic software.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, digital electronics, and aircraft communication protocols.
