About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Maintenance Technician with a specialization in Avionics to join their dynamic team based in Midrand . This critical role involves ensuring the optimal functionality and safety of avionic systems across a diverse fleet of aircraft. You will be instrumental in performing complex diagnostics, repairs, and installations, contributing directly to flight safety and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft avionic systems, including navigation, communication, and flight control systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults using sophisticated test equipment and diagnostic software, adhering strictly to maintenance manuals and safety protocols.
• Install, test, and certify new avionic equipment and modifications as per approved data and airworthiness directives.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all maintenance activities, including parts used and time spent, in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate effectively with flight crews, other maintenance personnel, and regulatory authorities to ensure seamless operations and airworthiness.
• Stay current with the latest avionic technologies, troubleshooting techniques, and regulatory changes within the aviation industry.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician with a strong focus on avionics.
• Certification such as a South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) type rating or equivalent, with specific endorsements for avionic systems.

• Thorough understanding of aircraft electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and installation procedures.
