Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Air Traffic Controller to join our remote operations team. You will manage and coordinate air traffic within designated airspace, using advanced radar and comms to ensure safe, orderly and expeditious flow of aircraft.

This fully remote role requires a valid ATC license, ratings, and at least 10 years of experience, with strong decision-making, situational awareness and excellent remote communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Air Traffic Controller license and relevant ratings.
• Minimum 10 years of proven experience in air traffic control operations.
• Proficient with modern air traffic management systems and technologies.
• Exceptional decision-making, situational awareness and stress management for high-pressure environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills suitable for remote interaction.
• Ability to work independently in a high-pressure virtual environment.

Responsibilities

• Control and manage air traffic in assigned airspace sectors, ensuring safe separation of aircraft.
• Utilize radar, communication, and navigation systems to monitor flight paths and traffic flow.
• Issue clearances, advisories, and instructions to pilots clearly and concisely.
• Coordinate with adjacent control facilities to ensure seamless traffic management.
• Monitor weather conditions and advise pilots of hazards or changes in airspace.
• Provide mentorship to junior controllers during remote training sessions.
