Placements24 is seeking a Senior AI Research Scientist to drive frontier research in generative AI from a remote setup across South Africa. You will design and evaluate advanced AI models, publish findings, and mentor junior researchers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, ML, or related field.
• Proven track record in generative AI research with publications or significant contributions.
• Strong knowledge of deep learning architectures and frameworks.
• Excellent Python programming and software development skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cutting-edge research in generative AI (GANs, VAEs, diffusion, LLMs).
• Design, implement and evaluate novel AI algorithms and models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI into products.
• Publish findings in top AI conferences/journals and mentor juniors.
• Stay updated on AI/ML advancements and maintain well-documented code.
