Placements24 invites applications for a Senior AI Research Scientist to join our client in Midrand, Gauteng. The role blends research and development, pushing state-of-the-art ML and deep learning techniques to real-world AI products.

You will work with world-class researchers to design, implement, and evaluate models, datasets, and systems. We expect a strong theoretical foundation, 5+ years in AI research, and proven results across CNNs, RNNs, Transformers and RL.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI, ML or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on AI research and development in ML.
• Proficiency in Python with ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.
• Strong understanding of CNNs, RNNs, Transformers, and reinforcement learning.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement advanced machine learning models and algorithms.
• Conduct rigorous research into novel AI techniques and their applications.
• Analyze and interpret large, complex datasets to extract insights and improve models.
• Collaborate with software engineers and product managers to integrate AI solutions into production systems.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AI research and publish findings.
