Job summary

Standard Bank of South Africa is seeking an Artificial Intelligence Architecture & Engineering Technical Lead in Roodepoort to drive strategic AI initiatives. You will shape AI thinking, deliver governance-compliant solutions and advance AI across the bank.

You will own reference architectures across cloud platforms, oversee PoC to production, and coach engineers to raise the overall AI capability within the organization.

Qualifications

• Post graduate degree in Information Technology.
• 5–7 years of experience in AI/ML.
• Experience in Software Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical delivery of priority AI initiatives.
• Define and own SBIB AI reference architecture across AWS, Azure and Power Platform.
• Drive production from PoC through to monitored production with CI/CD pipelines and model monitoring.
• Ensure all solutions meet governance and Responsible AI requirements.
• Coach junior AI engineers and contribute to SBIB AI CoP.
