Job summary

Network Finance seeks a dynamic Lead AI Engineer to guide advanced AI initiatives in Sandton. This leadership role involves architecting, developing, and deploying sophisticated AI systems, mentoring a team of engineers, and translating business requirements into scalable AI solutions.

You will lead design and implementation of cutting-edge AI, collaborate with product management and data science, and ensure production-grade quality. A hands-on leader with cloud/MLOps experience is required.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
• 7+ years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
• Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
